EL WATER

Point of Entry (POE) systems are virtually maintenance-free.

Our point POE systems can be installed on the water main to protect both the hot and cold water, as well as the water heater. A water softener, for example, is typically installed only on the cold-water line. Many water heater manufacturers warn against using a water softener due to the likelihood of corrosion. Note that water softeners are for the protection of scale due to hard water. It’s not for filtration, taste, odor, chlorine, or Chlorine or Chloramines.

Because the POE system filters all the water, the need for point-of-use (POU) filters can be eliminated. However, POU filters in addition to a POE system for expensive pieces of equipment, like espresso and ice machines, provide extra protection to further protect and ideally minimize equipment being inoperable and unprofitable.

Each location’s water supply and equipment needs should be reviewed prior to a proposal to ensure the water is effectively treated. Additional tanks and media may be needed to address the exact contaminants in the water supply. (Ex. Iron, Chlorides, Lead, etc.)

Scheduling (quarterly, bi-annually, or annually) of regeneration packets for the carbon and scale media is addressed during the proposal process. A very simple process. We use a fill head top. Unscrew, pour in the regeneration powder, screw the cap back on, and let it sit for the designated time, typically overnight. Come in, run a few faucets to “flush” the tanks, and you’re back in business. This regular maintenance is not only minimal but also cost-effective.
